The people of St. Mary’s are passionate about helping those in need – whether it be in our local community, our diocese, our nation or our world.  This is evidenced not only by the generous financial contributions to our Outreach Program, but, more importantly, by the commitment and dedication of the parishioners who serve in these ministries.

How We Help

We encourage our parishioners to become involved in specific charitable ventures and then allocate funds and activate resources to support those efforts via an Outreach Committee. Funding for our outreach programs is derived from our Cutting Endowment Fund for Outreach, directed contributions from our parishioners and the greater community, grants St. Mary’s secures on behalf of specific programs as well as fundraising initiatives undertaken by the committee and parishioners, such as our annual yard sale. Specific appeals occur seasonally, on Outreach Sundays or whenever a crisis arises. Our Outreach Committee is open to anyone who would like to participate and is currently composed of approximately 15 members who meet once a month, typically after the 10 am service. Please contact Sue Heywood, chairperson of the committee, for more information.
