Mission

We welcome all, seek to grow in our faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and reach out to those in need with love and compassion.

Vision

From the very beginning in 1887, our founders saw St. Mary’s-in-Tuxedo as the community church, being present and receptive to all those who came in faith, need, gratitude, curiosity -- or for whatever reason. Indeed, our beautiful stained glass window that stays lit through the dark nights and our chapel which is always open for those seeking peace and solace are symbols that we are to be a light for all. The members of St. Mary’s are dedicated to the service of our parish, our community, our nation and our world. We seek to continue the legacy of generosity of those who came before us for the benefit of those who will follow us.

Beliefs

Jesus said, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

St. Mary's is an Episcopal church in the Diocese of New York. With more than 7,000 churches, the Episcopal church is comprised of 109 dioceses in 16 nations, and is part of the Anglican Communion. Please visit the links below to learn more about our beliefs:
