From the Rector

Dear Friends,

Another summer is quickly winding down, and the beginning of autumn and the new program year promise lots of opportunities. Very importantly--we are looking for a Sunday school coordinator to work with me in administering this vital ministry for the children of St. Mary's. Please see me if you are interested or know of someone who might be. 

We also have an exciting line-up of events in September:

Sunday, September 13 is Rally Sunday. The Schola and Sunday school resume, and we will celebrate after church with a picnic on the grounds.

Sunday, September 20 will be the date for Canon Alissa Newton's official visit to St. Mary's. We will also re-dedicate the steeple at that service and thank our donors for their generosity.

Sunday, September 27 will be a musical feast for the ears, as we are visited by a sixteen-voice choir from St. James', Piccadilly, in addition to our own Schola.

I hope that you will be able to join us for worship and fellowship in the coming weeks, and remember to invite a friend!

In Memoriam

We pray for the repose of the souls of Paul Peter Fuchs, Jr., age 77, and Marie-Claude Wrenn-Myers, age 87.

Paul’s funeral will be held at St. Mary’s-in-Tuxedo this Saturday, August 29th, at 11am.
