From the Rector

Dear Friends,

After the service this coming Sunday, Pete and I will be on our way to the UK for two weeks of vacation, as well as to attend meetings and ceremonies of the Order of St. John. We will begin our sojourn in the city of Brighton, which neither of us have ever visited. I am very much looking forward to touring the eBrighton Pavilion, and Pete has other excursions planned as well.

In London, we will be attending the meeting of the Priory of England and Wales on Saturday, followed by church at St. Olave's Hart Street on Sunday. My friend Philip Dawson is the rector, and they will be celebrating 70 years since the church was rebuilt following WWII. Other events will include a service of commemoration and rededication at St. Paul's Cathedral (thank you Jane D. for the top hat!) as well as dinner in the chapter house at St. John's Gate. Stay tuned for lots of great pictures.

While I am away, please welcome back the Rev. Ronnie Stout-Kopp, who will celebrate on Wednesday, June 17 and Sunday, June 21. Fr. Ed will be available for pastoral needs, and will celebrate on Wednesday, June 24. We are thankful to my sister, Lauren, who will be taking care of the girls as well as taking time to focus on her writing in a peaceful setting. We will return on Friday, June 26.

Outreach - Summer Camp

Dear Friends,

It has become a tradition at St Mary's to help local children attend the summer day camp run by the Town of Tuxedo. We provide financial assistance to families who are not able to pay the full cost of the camp. This year, we seek to sponsor 20 children at a total cost of about $15,000.

St Mary's would be grateful for donations of whatever size to help us fund this year's campers. Checks should be made out to St Mary's Outreach, with memo 'Camp Sponsorship', or you can donate online.

Thank you for your support which will give five weeks of fun to 20 local children!
